Ukraine will ensure a ceasefire for the Easter holidays and will act according to a clear principle: mirror response. At the same time, given previous violations of such agreements by the Russians, the Defense Forces must be ready for an immediate response to any enemy provocations and offensive actions. This is reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As noted by the General Staff, Ukrainian troops have every right to open fire to kill if they detect:
- signs of Russian army units advancing to the front line, conducting engineering works, or regrouping forces and means;
- signs of real preparation for assault actions and other actions that may indicate the enemy's use of the ceasefire for aggressive purposes.
The same rules will apply at sea and in the sky. The launch of missiles or attack UAVs by the Russian army on our territory will also receive a mirror response

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced an Easter truce with Ukraine, which will last from April 11 to the end of April 12.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready for "mirror steps" and agrees to the Easter truce previously announced by Russia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed his conviction that Ukrainians deserve an Easter holiday without terror.
At the same time, the spokesman for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated his "desire for a lasting peace instead of a truce."
