The first ASBM satellite was deployed 42.5 minutes after launch, and the second one five minutes later.
According to aerospace giant Northrop Grumman, which built the two satellites for the mission, ASBMs are designed to expand broadband coverage of the Arctic region for the US Space Force and the Norwegian state-owned space company Space Norway.
According to SpaceX's mission description, this was the 22nd launch of this particular launch vehicle. This tied the company's record for rocket reuse, set in June with the launch of the SpaceX Starlink Internet satellites. The June flight was the first time that a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket had been launched and landed 22 times.
