Law enforcement officers exposed the military who helped two suspects in the murder of police officers in Vinnytsia region to hide. This was reported by UNN with reference to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Details
As the investigators found out, on April 20, 2024, after the tragic event, the attackers decided to flee abroad and turned to their friends in the military for help. One of them also left the military unit in Odesa region without permission.
Despite the fact that the public already knew that the father and son were wanted for the murder of a law enforcement officer, the defendants responded and decided to help. In particular, one of them handed over a car for the escape abroad, and the other went to pick up passports and a cell phone, which he later handed over to the attackers

It is noted that on April 24, 2024, the SBI detained one of the servicemen who facilitated the escape of the suspects and left the military unit without permission.
In the criminal proceedings, searches were conducted at the addresses of the defendants in the case and other persons who helped the attackers escape abroad and provided first aid. Their cell phones were seized. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Currently, the serviceman has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 396 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (concealment of a crime - ed.) for concealing a serious crime. Another one, who left the military unit without permission, was served a notice of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 407 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized leaving of a military unit or place of service - ed.)
Recall
According to the investigation, on April 20, at night, the suspects killed one police officer, injured another, and fled the scene. Law enforcement officers tracked them down and detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine in the village of Lipetske, Podil district, Odesa region.
Subsequently, two servicemen were served with suspicion of murder and attempted murder of police officers in Vinnytsia region.
