In Odesa, on April 21, an arrest took place involving shooting and pursuit with the participation of SBU officers and, presumably, the TCC. Video footage from the scene was published by local media and Telegram channels, UNN reports.
Details
The video shows a black minivan driving onto Balkivska Street, from which armed people, resembling employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, run out. Shots are heard. They detain people in military uniform, outwardly similar to TCC employees.
In one of the videos, a random eyewitness to the events - a car driver - even claims that one of the detainees was killed during the shootout.
What the Security Service of Ukraine says
The SBU Directorate in Odesa region confirmed the detention and promised to provide details later.
The detention just happened, there are no details yet, we need to wait
What Ukrainian media write
Meanwhile, information appeared in Ukrainian media that the detainees turned out to be employees of the Peresypsky district Territorial Recruitment Center. They were found to have bats, brass knuckles, and foreign currency.
They allegedly demanded $30,000 from a man with a deferment and UBD status. If the Ukrainian did not bring this money, they threatened mobilization. The man sought help from SBU officers.
They detained the TCC employees when they dragged the man from whom they demanded money into a minivan and threatened to beat him if he did not immediately hand over the money.
Currently, the leadership of the Odesa TCC has gone to the scene of the incident to clarify all the details.
