German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that during a conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin he made him understand that the war must end, but did not disclose the details of his talks. Scholz said this in an interview with the German edition of t-online, reports UNN.

“I used my conversation to make it clear to Putin that the war must end. Such conversations are confidential for good reasons - and I respect that,” Scholz said.

Scholz said that in his conversation with Putin, he made it clear to him that Germany's support for Ukraine would not weaken.

“I made it clear to him that he cannot hope that our support for Ukraine will weaken. Germany's military aid alone is worth 28 billion euros. After the United States, we are the strongest supporter of Ukraine in the world. It was important for me that Putin heard my vision of his war,” Scholz added.
