Russian occupants attacked high-voltage substations in southern Ukraine, leading to power outages in Odesa region and possible hourly blackouts in Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih.

During the night, Russian invaders attacked high-voltage substations in southern Ukraine and hit energy facilities. As a result, emergency power outages are in effect in Odesa region, and hourly blackouts are possible in Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih. The situation with the energy sector was described by NPC Ukrenergo, UNN writes.

At night, the Russians struck again at energy facilities. They targeted Ukrenergo's high-voltage substations in the southern region. Due to the damage to the equipment, the power company was forced to introduce emergency blackouts in Odesa and the surrounding areas. With the growth of consumption, their volume may increase. Details

The company noted that electricity consumption restrictions continue to be in effect in Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih.  They also noted that last night no outage schedules were applied, but due to the increase in consumption and, accordingly, the load on the power system, these outages in these areas are possible during the day.

Blackouts are likely to be introduced during the evening peak hours. Ukrenergo urges citizens to consume electricity sparingly.

On the eve of , UNN reportedthat the Khmelnytsky NPP power unit was connected to the grid after repairs and is currently producing 300 MWh. It was planned to increase electricity production after the restrictions were lifted.
