Another fake of Russian propaganda has begun to spread online, claiming that Odesa and Mykolaiv regions were allegedly sold to France and the United Kingdom. The fake was debunked by the Center for Countering Disinformation, UNN reports.
Hostile TG channels have once again launched a disinformation campaign about the alleged "sale of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions by the Ukrainian authorities to France and the United Kingdom, respectively." ... In fact, this is a fake, part of a plan to discredit the Ukrainian government. Having analyzed this "news," the Center found that the racists had spread identical information earlier - in December 2022.

It is noted that the fake news story was based on a photo from the page of the People's Deputy of Ukraine dated December 22, 2022.
The goal of this propaganda campaign is to create the illusion of Ukraine's lack of independence and sow uncertainty among Ukrainians about the country's future.
The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that the content of such "news" should be taken critically, attention should be paid to the source of dissemination, and information should be verified.
