In Ukraine, one of the gas infrastructure facilities in the west was shelled during an enemy missile attack. After the enemy attacks, electricity restrictions were imposed in two regions, and 212 settlements in 5 regions were cut off due to deteriorating weather conditions, the Energy Ministry reported on Friday, UNN reported.
Shelling and blackouts
"One of the gas infrastructure facilities in the western region of the country was shelled during an enemy missile attack. The consequences are being investigated," the Energy Ministry said.
"Due to the damage to Ukrenergo's equipment, there are network restrictions and, accordingly, the inability to transmit the amount of electricity needed by consumers in Kharkiv region - hourly blackouts are in effect in the region. In Dnipropetrovs'k region, emergency blackouts are being applied after the morning enemy attack. Restrictions on electricity consumption in Odesa and Khmelnytsky regions have been lifted," the agency said on social media.
Bad weather
It is also noted that "due to unfavorable weather conditions, 212 settlements in Khmelnytsky, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi regions and in the Carpathian region were cut off from electricity due to breakage and damage to the power grids.
Situation at ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond is 15.52 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
