Exports of diesel fuel from Russia have been falling for several weeks after drone attacks on the country's refineries. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that data from the analytical company Kpler show that supplies averaged 0.74 million barrels per day in the 10 days to April 13. This is about 25% lower than the average for this time of year in the period from 2019 to 2023.
Traders are closely watching what happens to Russian fuel flows. As the country's refining rate has recently been near an 11-month low, there is a possibility that it may have to divert all the crude oil that refineries cannot process to the export market.
The publication notes that although crude oil flows have increased at the same time, there are practical limitations to the growth of these supplies.
Addendum
On April 9 , US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warnedthat Ukraine's recent attacks on Russian oil refineries could affect global energy markets and urged the country to focus on military objectives.
The latest drone attack on a Russian refinery took place on April 2, but it will take time for any disruptions to affect export flows.
