Russia has deployed North Korean mercenaries in the Kursk sector, subordinating them to the 11th Air Assault Brigade. The militants are serving at checkpoints and in the second echelon, without taking part in combat operations.

The Russians are using mercenaries from North Korea in the Kursk sector, but without engaging them in direct combat, keeping them in the second echelon, UNN reports, citing the Center for National Resistance.

Details

The mercenaries have been subordinated to the 11th Air Assault Brigade and are now being used to stand guard at observation posts and checkpoints. Their duties also include guarding areas where enemy troops are concentrated.

However, mercenaries are not involved in direct combat operations. In fact, the involvement of North Korean militants allowed the Kremlin to take more Russians from their positions and throw them to the front line.

Recall

Colonel General Kim Yong Bok, deputy head of the KPA General Staff, arrived in Russia among 500 officers. His specific mission is unknown; he previously commanded the DPRK Special Forces Corps.
