Yusov stated that the Russian Federation has suffered a strategic defeat and lost its superpower status. Now the Kremlin is trying to destabilize Ukraine through psychological operations (PSYOP) and panic.

Russia has already suffered a strategic defeat, having lost a significant portion of its geopolitical influence, while its economy continues to degrade. At the same time, Russian special services do not abandon attempts to destabilize the situation inside Ukraine using informational and psychological methods of influence. This was stated by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as reported by UNN with reference to the GUR.

According to Yusov, today Russia is no longer perceived by the world's centers of power as a superpower.

"Today, no one mentions Russia as a superpower anymore, and it no longer mentions itself as one of the world's poles. Today, neither the US nor China treat it as such," the GUR representative noted.

At the same time, he emphasized that the Kremlin continues to work on destabilizing the situation inside Ukraine, as it is unable to achieve its goals through military means.

"The enemy's constant goal is the destabilization of the situation in Ukraine. This involves sowing panic and despair. It is work aimed at delegitimizing the authorities, delegitimizing public support for the Security and Defense Forces, pitting everyone against each other, and so on.

But today, in a modern world that is quite unstable, Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation and society are a remarkably good example of resilience.

After more than 4.5 years of full-scale invasion and war with a stronger adversary, Ukrainians remain united both in their assessment of what is happening and in their readiness to resist," Yusov said.

The military intelligence representative also spoke about the conditions under which Russia would be unable to repeat its aggression against Ukraine in the future.

"Russia will not be able to attack again when it understands that the price is too high. Or there will be no Russia in the format where it poses a constant threat not only to Ukraine but to all its neighbors, because it cannot live otherwise than as an imperial mechanism. Such a Russia simply should not exist," Yusov emphasized.
