On Monday, April 15, security personnel at the Mihail Kogelniceanu 57th Air Base, located near the city of Constanta, reported the flight of three drones between 22:30 and 00:30.
It is noted that the drones were small, most likely commercial type, and operated at low speeds and at low altitudes.
In accordance with the procedures, all measures were taken to maintain airspace safety, and the civil air traffic service was promptly informed. Electronic warfare systems were also repeatedly used, and radar and visual contact with the latter two systems was lost around 00:30. The command of the 57th Air Base, Mihail Kogelniceanu, notified the military prosecutor's office to apply the measures provided for by law in such situations.
