Russia continues to scale up the practice of militarizing children in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, turning teenagers into a mobilization resource for future wars. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), as relayed by UNN.
Details
It is noted that in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation, the first interregional shift of the "Time of Young Heroes" program, organized by the "Warrior" military-patriotic center, concluded at the "Avangard" camp.
Approximately 900 teenagers aged 14-17 were put through this training, a significant number of whom were taken by the invaders from the occupied territories of Ukraine. For two weeks, the children were taught the basics of firearms and physical training, tactical medicine, assault operations, and combat drone piloting. All of this was accompanied by aggressive ideological indoctrination, including meetings with participants of the war against Ukraine
It is pointed out that the Kremlin views the residents of the TOT (temporarily occupied territories), including minors, exclusively as a resource for waging a protracted war.
"And the preparation of children for participation in combat operations is the best evidence of this. The Russian authorities are building a system of child upbringing based on the cult of war, hatred, and revanchism," the CCD concludes.
Recall
Russia's spending on the militarization of youth has increased 20-fold compared to pre-war times. Instead of schools, the Kremlin is financing propaganda and the purchase of weapon replicas.
