"Mr. Fico told me about this, told me about his meeting, well, there wasn't really a special message there, I just heard once again that... Mr. Zelenskyy is ready to hold a personal meeting, but we have heard this more than once... We have never refused, I am not proposing this meeting, but if someone proposes it, please, let them come, whoever wants to meet – let them come to Moscow – we will meet," Putin said during a press conference at the Kremlin.
"It is possible to meet in a third country as well, but only in the event that final agreements are reached on a peace treaty, which must be designed for a long-term historical perspective," Putin stated.

In addition, as interpreted by Russian media, Putin spoke about the war and said he thinks that "now things are moving towards a conclusion." "I think that things are moving towards a conclusion [of the Ukrainian conflict]," Putin noted, as quoted by Russian media.
Putin also claimed that allegedly on May 5, the Russian side handed Ukraine a proposal for an exchange and sent a list of 500 people to Ukraine, but that there was allegedly no readiness "for this exchange." Through the mediation of US President Donald Trump, an agreement was reached on a truce from May 9 to 11 and a prisoner exchange of 1,000 for 1,000, but, according to Putin, allegedly so far "no proposals have been received by us."
Putin also asserted that the parade in Moscow was held without military equipment allegedly not only for security reasons. He also stated that the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet reported any "provocations."
