In Georgia, protest actions are taking place after the detention of a man suspected of attacking a woman during a conflict at a hotel in the city of Telavi. Protesters are chanting slogans "Putin is a d*ckhead". Local media report this, writes UNN.

According to the media, the incident occurred during a wedding. It is reported that a group of Russian citizens who were on the hotel balcony shouted insults at the guests and poured water on the musical equipment.

A video of the attack was published on Instagram by the victim's friend, Polina Kurta. The recording shows a man entering the room and then striking one of the women.
According to Kurta, the victim is her friend Yulia. After the incident, the woman was hospitalized, and all participants in the conflict gave testimony to the police. At the same time, they stated that they would not comment on the details of the event until the investigation is completed.
Polina Kurta claims that the man came to the room after hearing the girls speaking Russian on the balcony. According to her, he allegedly found out the room number through the hotel staff.
The Telegram channel Baza, citing Yulia, reported that the woman stood up for her friends, whom the man was insulting, after which she received a blow to the face. According to her, doctors diagnosed her with a broken nose.
Another participant in the group said that they were relaxing in a room with a balcony overlooking the area where the wedding was taking place. After one of the girls opened a bottle of champagne, the wedding guests claimed that the DJ equipment had allegedly been damaged. Subsequently, a verbal argument arose between the parties, after which the man came to the room and accused the girls of speaking Russian and interfering with the wedding.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia stated that the conflict began after foreign guests from the balcony allegedly insulted the wedding participants and poured water on the musical equipment. After that, a fight broke out between the parties, during which the man hit a foreign citizen.
The suspect was detained under the article on intentional infliction of minor bodily harm. If proven guilty, he faces up to three years in prison.

The administration of the Agarani Estate hotel stated that the incident was the result of the actions of individual guests and does not reflect the position of the establishment.
The hotel also denied information that employees allegedly told the attacker the room number of the victims and emphasized that the staff did not participate in the conflict.

In Russian media, Yulia was called a tourist from Russia. At the same time, Polina Kurta stated that her friend was born in Ukraine, lives in Russia, and speaks Russian.
