President of the unrecognized republic of Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky signed a decree on the introduction of an economic emergency due to the threat of stopping the supply of Russian gas to the region through Ukraine. This is stated in the "Decree" No. 542, reports UNN.
Details
According to the" decree", in connection with the economic emergency caused by the reduction of natural gas supplies, in order to prevent a critical drop in production, stagnant underloading of production capacities, uncontrolled development of stagflationary processes that destabilize the economy, it is proposed to introduce a special legal regime on the territory of Transdniestria - an economic emergency for a period of 30 days.
It is also proposed to establish a special procedure for purchasing natural gas, make a decision on rationalizing gas consumption, and set restrictions on certain types of financial and economic activities.
The document has yet to be approved by the Parliament of the unrecognized republic.
Recall
the Russian corporation Gazprom will stop gas transit to Europe via Ukraine in 2025 . In the plans of the corporation from the so – called "far abroad" – Europe and Turkey-only gas supply to Turkey remains.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal saidthat Ukraine will not extend the agreement on the transit of Russian gas. The goal is to impose sanctions on Russian gas and deprive the Kremlin of profits from the sale of hydrocarbons.
