The enemy managed to destroy some fortifications in the Donetsk sector, but everything is being done to restore them. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadym Filashkin, UNN reports.
Almost all entrepreneurs and utility companies worked on the construction of the fortifications. It is hard to imagine what would have happened if they had not been built, but fewer and fewer entrepreneurs want to risk their lives and go to build fortifications. They are helping our military. There are also workers from Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions - these regions are helping us to build the main line of fortifications. The work is almost complete
Filashkin noted that Russia managed to destroy some fortifications, but local authorities are trying to restore the destroyed ones as soon as possible so that they are suitable for our defenders. This applies to all frontline areas. The head of the Donetsk RMA noted that work on installing "dragon's teeth" is underway in the Hrodivka, Kurakhove, Lyman and Toretsk sectors.
"The enemy is changing the direction of the breakthrough. And where the need arises, according to the documentation that comes to me from the commander of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group on the purchase of material needs, we urgently purchase "teeth," he added.
Filashkin also said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 600 platoon strongholds have been built in Donetsk region, not including anti-tank ditches and small firing positions.
"Construction is ongoing in all areas. The Ministry of Defense purchases materials for the construction of fortifications, as well as the region and specific communities. Huge amounts of money have been spent from the regional and local budgets of Donetsk region - about UAH 2.6 billion," he said.
Mr. Filashkin also explained why the price of defense facilities differs. "Indeed, some people have a question about procurement: why is there such a price and not another? Because one company will have a lower price, but that company does not want to bring it here, does not want to work with Donetsk region. There are very few entrepreneurs willing to come here to build fortifications. More work with Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions," he summarized.

Earlier UNN wrote that the price of one barrier pyramid (dragon's tooth) can vary from UAH 1600 to UAH 2000+. This refers to manufacturers, not transit suppliers.
