German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said he has no plans to send Bundeswehr soldiers to Ukraine until the end of the war, UNN reports with reference to tagesschau.
Details
"Until the war is over, there will be no German soldiers on Ukrainian soil," Pistorius told Funke media group newspapers, according to a previous report.
However, according to the newspaper, he considered the possibility of deploying the Bundeswehr if the peacekeepers had to enforce a ceasefire in Ukraine: "Germany, as the largest NATO country in Europe and the largest economy in Europe, will not be able to stand aside.
Pistorius also said: "The question is when there should be a ceasefire or peace - and when it will be clear what that will look like."
