Currently, a mechanism is being developed to receive eSupport funds, namely 1 thousand per Ukrainian, through Ukrposhta offices for the convenience of those citizens who do not have smartphones and access to Diia. The press service of the Ministry of Economy informed the journalist of UNN about this.
The war has increased the number of socially vulnerable citizens, and the President and the government aim to support every Ukrainian. It is expected that the mechanism of the "ePromotion" program will be universal, not selective, so that citizens of all categories across the country can receive funds. We cannot predict which objects and cities the Russians may shell and where people will need help the most. The only exceptions will be those citizens who have traveled abroad
It is noted that everyone will be able to get help.
The program applies not only to adults but also to children. One of the parents will be able to order a payment to their account for each of their children. A mechanism for receiving eSupport funds through Ukrposhta branches is also being developed for the convenience of those citizens who do not have smartphones and access to Diia. These funds will not be taxed
When asked whether this program will be a one-time program and for how long, the Ministry of Economy answered: "The "ePidderzhka" program is already familiar to Ukrainians: during the Covid and at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, citizens could receive one-time financial assistance from the state. Now a similar program is being introduced."
The ministry reminded that the program will start on December 1, 2024.
You can apply for the program through Diia in December, January, or February. To do this, you need to activate your National Cashback card. The payment will be credited to this card. You will be able to spend UAH 1000 during 2025 to pay for utilities and other services, buy medicines, books or donate to funds that support the Defense Forces
Context
On October 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to introduce a new support program for Ukrainians starting December 1, under which they will be able to receive one thousand hryvnias per family member.
The First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev saidthat Ukrainians will receive 1000 hryvnias per person, regardless of age and social status. These funds can be used during the winter months of December, January, and February.
However, this program has caused a mixed reaction in society and questions whether it is appropriate to provide a payment of UAH 1000 to wealthy, financially secure Ukrainians.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was approached with petitions to refuse to implement the new eSupport program and to provide UAH 1000 per person.
In particular, people ask to direct these funds to the production of weapons, in favor of funding programs for the rehabilitation of war veterans. Also, one of the petitions states that it is the low-income population that may not have a smartphone to receive payments through Diia.
