The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has adopted a resolution on Ukraine - on the need for accountability for Russia's aggression and the prevention of impunity. This was announced by a member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, reports UNN.

PACE adopted an important resolution on Ukraine - on the need for accountability for Russia's aggression and the prevention of impunity

- Honcharenko said.

He cited the main points from the resolution:

  • Russia must be held accountable for all crimes of aggression - from genocide to the deportation of children;
    • Support for the creation of a Special Tribunal with international judges;
      • Call for compensation and transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine;
        • Temporary protection of Ukrainians in Europe should be in effect until a real peace, not a formal truce;
          • Any resource agreement with the United States must be in line with Ukraine's course towards the EU;
            • PACE demands that sanctions be strengthened and secondary sanctions be imposed against those who help Russia circumvent them;
              • The register of damages must cover all crimes since 2014, not just after 2022.
