More than 60 diplomats visited the site where a Russian missile hit a residential building in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported on Friday, UNN writes.
With the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a visit was organized for more than 60 heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine to the site where a Russian missile hit a 9-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. Participants honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence
The briefing for the diplomatic corps was conducted by the Head of the State Emergency Service, Andriy Danyk, who informed the participants about the consequences of the Russian strike on the residential building carried out by a Kh-101 missile. As a result of the strike, 24 people were killed, including three children. Another 48 people were injured.
Foreign diplomats were also shown how the search and rescue operation, which lasted more than 28 hours, was conducted.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevhen Perebyinis, speaking to the foreign diplomats, emphasized that "this attack was another deliberate Russian strike on civilians and is evidence of the aggressor country's unwillingness to stop this bloody war." According to him, "the only way to force Russia to stop is to increase international pressure and raise the price of aggression."
The Deputy Foreign Minister called on foreign partners to "decisively condemn this crime, increase sanctions pressure on Russia, and provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems to protect civilians and prevent similar tragedies in the future." "He also emphasized the need to hold accountable all those involved in Russia's crimes against the Ukrainian people," the Foreign Ministry reported.
