Operatives of the Podilskyi and Odesa detachments stopped two cars in the border area. Local drivers of a Mercedes and a Hyundai tried to illegally smuggle seven men of military age across the border. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reports .

As law enforcement officers found out, the drivers were a husband and wife who were following the instructions of the organizer - the administrator of the telegram channel. The latter provided instructions on the route to Moldova through the Transnistrian segment. For their help with the delivery, the couple received USD 200 from each passenger and UAH 10 thousand from the organizer.
In the case of a successful transfer, all "clients" had to pay from 80 to 120 thousand hryvnias to the administrator of the telegram channel. However, on the outskirts of the city of Balta, Podil district, all the participants were detained by border guards,
Since the drivers' actions have signs of a criminal offense under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine", a report was sent to the National Police.
Administrative reports were drawn up against the "passengers" under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine", and the cases were sent to court.
