Iran's nuclear doctrine currently has no place for nuclear weapons, the country's Foreign Ministry says, a statement that came after the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that Tehran could change its nuclear policy because of Israel's actions, UNN reports citing Reuters.

Earlier, Ahmad Khakhtalab, the Guard commander in charge of nuclear security, said that Israeli threats could push Tehran to "revise its nuclear doctrine and deviate from its previous considerations.

Nasser Kanani also noted that the recent attack on Isfahan in central Iran "cost nothing"; according to the official, "the enemy (Israel) knew it could not use it.
