Details
According to the draft resolution of the NEURC, the tariff for electricity transmission services from 01.07.2026 is proposed to be set at:
- for system users (except for 'green' electrometallurgy enterprises) – 903.53 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT) (a 21.62% increase), including the tariff component for fulfilling special obligations to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative energy sources – 367.56 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT);
- for 'green' electrometallurgy enterprises – 535.97 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT) (a 42% increase).
According to another draft resolution of the NEURC, the tariff for dispatch (operational and technological) control services of NPC Ukrenergo from July 01, 2026, is proposed to be set at 118.64 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT) (a 7.83% increase).
Prior to this, NPC Ukrenergo applied to the NEURC with a proposal to amend the tariffs for electricity transmission and dispatch control of the power system for 2026.
Ukrenergo cited the following reasons for revising the current tariffs:
- the rise of foreign currency exchange rates against the hryvnia. "This creates an additional financial burden on Ukrenergo, particularly in the context of fulfilling special obligations to 'green' generation provided for by current legislation, the price of which is fixed in euros";
- revision of the Forecast Balance of the Integrated Power System (IPS) of Ukraine until the end of the current year. "According to new calculations, the forecast volume of electricity supply decreases by 9.5%, and the forecast volume of its transmission – by 5.5%. This directly affects the volume of tariff revenues, which must cover other expenditure items of NPC Ukrenergo as the transmission system operator";
- the regulator's liberalization of price caps starting May 1, 2026. "This increases the weighted average price of electricity as the basis for Ukrenergo's settlements with other market participants."
"The combination of all these factors requires an immediate response," the NPC noted.
At the same time, the company emphasized that NPC Ukrenergo's tariffs do not apply to household consumers and their revision will not change the cost of electricity for the population.
