U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are progressing excellently, adding that it will either be a major deal or a return to hostilities that will be even more large-scale. Trump wrote this on his social network Truth Social, UNN reports.
Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are progressing excellently. It will either be a "major deal" for everyone, or no deal at all—in which case we will have to return to the front and continue hostilities, but on an even larger scale and with greater force than ever before—and nobody wants that,
He added that during negotiations with Middle Eastern leaders, he stated that after all the work done by the U.S. to try to assemble this very complex mosaic, all these countries must, at the very least, simultaneously sign the Abraham Accords.
This will become the most important agreement ever signed by these great but always conflicting countries. Nothing in the past or future will surpass it. Therefore, I strongly urge all countries to immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and if Iran signs a deal with me as President of the United States, it would be an honor for me if they also became part of this unprecedented global coalition. The Middle East will become united, powerful, and economically strong, perhaps like no other region in the world. Based on this truth, I am asking my representatives to begin and successfully complete the process of these countries joining the already historic Abraham Accords,
As a reminder
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that some progress has been made in negotiations with the United States, mediated by Pakistan, regarding a "significant portion of the discussion topics," but this does not mean that the "signing of an agreement is imminent."
