Gazprombank, a Russian bank under US sanctions, has reported interruptions in the service of UnionPay cards in 12 countries.

Gazprombank has informed its customers about possible disruptions in the use of UnionPay cards abroad due to sanctions imposed by the United States.
The bank recommends that clients rely on cash for transactions, as a number of countries, including Turkey, have been affected by the problems since November 21.
The malfunction of UnionPay cards issued by Gazprombank was recorded in Turkey, the UAE, Germany, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Vietnam, Thailand, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, South Africa and South Korea.

Users report that they are unable to withdraw cash or pay for purchases with their cards. Many ATMs display messages asking users to contact Gazprombank. There are also complaints that cards are not accepted in retail stores.
At the same time, Gazprombank's online banking services remain available. The US sanctions cover both Gazprombank and its subsidiaries.
