Russian forces are preparing to launch 77 ballistic missiles at Ukraine simultaneously, and plan to increase this number to 200 in the future. This was stated by Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi in an interview with AP, reports UNN.
Details
As "Madyar" noted, the concentration of jet-powered "Shaheds", which are difficult for Ukraine to shoot down, has doubled in recent weeks.
According to him, Russian forces can currently launch a salvo of 77 ballistic missiles simultaneously and plan to increase this number to 200. This is one of Ukraine’s most vulnerable areas, as the country lacks interceptors for American Patriot missiles—the only system Ukraine has in its arsenal against ballistic missiles
This would mean that dozens of projectiles launched by Russia during massive attacks could, unfortunately, reach their targets.
Even if they manage to reach only half of this number, all of it will be flying at us
According to him, the only way to reduce this number is to strike every facility involved in producing these missiles, underscoring the importance of Ukraine’s long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory.
To remind you
President Zelensky stated that Patriot missiles are available in the world and called on partners to make a political decision to transfer them. He emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
