A man was detained in the capital for looting damaged apartments of Podil residents following a missile strike, UNN reports, citing the Kyiv police.

Today, as a result of a nighttime enemy missile strike on Khoryva Lane in Kyiv, residential buildings were damaged, with the blast wave blowing out windows and doors in the apartments.
While the residents were in shelters, the perpetrator took advantage of the situation and began entering the damaged homes, stealing the owners' personal belongings.
One of the female victims contacted the police to report the theft of her property. Law enforcement officers promptly located the suspect and detained him directly inside one of the apartments where he was attempting to commit another theft.
The perpetrator turned out to be a 29-year-old man who was already wanted for committing a property crime in another region. He was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The investigative department of the Podil Police District has initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). The article's sanction provides for up to eight years of imprisonment.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
