Rescuers are liquidating a large-scale forest fire in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region. Due to the heat and winds, the flames spread rapidly. The fire engulfed 70 hectares of forest floor and 30 hectares of open territory, UNN reports with reference to the State Emergency Service.

The State Emergency Service reported that rescuers, employees of the Dymer forestry, fire units of the National Guard, and volunteers from the Red Cross rapid response unit are involved in the liquidation.

"At 18:30, the fire was localized," the State Emergency Service added.
