Heavy rain and gusty winds on July 17 caused a large number of tree falls in Kyiv region. Wire breaks and damage to power line poles and transformer substations were reported.
Bucha, Vyshhorod, Fastiv and Obukhiv districts were the most affected.
According to DTEK, 82 power crews are working around the clock to restore power supply
As of 10 am on July 18, 54 medium voltage lines and 1446 transformer substations have been restored in Kyiv region. Power has been restored to 52,493 households
Reportedly, 45 more lines and 905 transformer substations remain in operation. The goal is to restore the operation of all equipment and start accepting customer requests for low voltage class 0.4 kV by the end of the day.

According to forecasts , on Thursday, short-term rains with thunderstorms, hail and squalls are expected in the western, northern and central regions, and in some places in the south of Ukraine. In the south and east, the temperature will reach 39-42°, while in the rest of the country it will be 27-32°.
