In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 16-year-old teenager suspected of setting fire to three Ukrposhta post offices. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Kyiv police.

The police said that Russian Federation continues to try to destabilize Ukrainian society inside the country by inventing new provocations, the latest of which was the arson of post offices in the capital.
It is noted that over the past few days, three post offices have been set on fire in Kyiv - the first two cases occurred in the Solomianskyi district, where the fire damaged the front door, and in the Darnytskyi district, the premises and mail burned down.
In the course of search operations, operatives of the Kyiv Police Department jointly with the SBU established that a 16-year-old native of Zhytomyr region, a student of the Kyiv technical college, was involved in the arson attacks
Law enforcement officers found out that had received the offer of a “part-time job” while communicating with an anonymous telegram channel. The offender used an incendiary mixture to set fire to the doors of two branches, and after breaking the glass in another branch, set it on fire from the inside.
The contractor videotaped each task as proof to get paid later. However, he never received the money.
Investigators detained the juvenile arsonist in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and, under the procedural supervision of the Darnytsia District Prosecutor's Office, served him a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional destruction or damage to property committed by arson
The issue of taking him into custody is currently being decided. For his actions, the young man faces imprisonment for up to ten years.
