The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has added to the recommended list of patriotic literature for schoolchildren books dedicated to the so-called "special military operation." Thus, the Russian authorities continue to integrate war propaganda into the educational process. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Center for Strategic Communications.
Details
According to the Center, the list of literature for students in grades 5–9 in the section "Zа наших" includes the books "Shadows of Donbass: Little Stories of a Big War," "Unsent Letters," and "Heroes of the SMO."
For high school students, six more works are recommended, including "Donbass is the Heart of Russia," "Martial Glory," and the collection "Poetry of the Russian Winter," which glorify Russian military personnel and justify the war against Ukraine.
Thus, the Russian authorities continue to integrate war propaganda into the education system and form a positive attitude in children towards the armed aggression against Ukraine
The Center recalled that the Kremlin systematically uses education as a tool of propaganda, in particular, imposing on schoolchildren literature about "heroes of the SMO" and issuing textbooks in which journalists are called "soldiers of the information front."
