Yulia Starodubtseva was the first to start her match in France against China's Wang Xiyu. The match lasted nearly two hours and ended in a victory for the Chinese player — 6:3, 7:5.
Simultaneously, Marta Kostyuk began her match against Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic. Our representative secured a victory — 6:4, 6:3.
Kostyuk advanced to the round of 16 of the tournament, where she will face Poland's Iga Świątek. The match will take place on Sunday, May 31, at 12:00 Kyiv time.
Additionally, our other representative, Elina Svitolina, defeated Germany's Tamara Korpatsch — 6:2, 6:3. Svitolina, like Kostyuk, reached the round of 16, where she will play against the winner of the Peyton Stearns vs. Belinda Bencic match.
