Kharkiv names an entrance in honor of military pilot Dzhus and renames a number of streets associated with russia

In the city of Kharkiv, 18 place names associated with the aggressor country have been renamed. This was reported by the Kharkiv City Council, UNN reports.

Details

The order to rename russian and imperial place names was signed by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

It is noted that Bakulin Street is now called Yevhen Yenin Street in honor of the former First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, who died in a plane crash in Brovary.

Belomorskaya Street was named Finskaya, and Baikalskaya Street became Snizhnaya Street.

Kronstadtskyi lane was renamed Chumatskyi lane, and Kronstadtska street was renamed Litovska street.

Altaysky Lane was renamed Windy Lane, and Trinkler's entrance was renamed Glisada Dzhusa's entrance (in honor of Ukrainian military pilot Andriy Pilshchikov with the call sign "Dzhus").

Krasnouralska Street became Nyzynna Street, Irtyska Street became Merlynska Street, Irtysky Lane became Chepelsky Lane, Izhevska Street was renamed Tsukrova Street, and the lane of the same name is now called Zamozhny Lane. Kolsky lane will now be called Chervona Ruta lane, Elbrusky lane was renamed Bukovelsky lane, and Yelninsky lane was renamed Barvyty lane. 

In addition, Vladivostotska Street became Shvedska Street, the lane of the same name became Scandinavian Lane, and the entrance became Lirnytskyi Lane.
