In Uzhhorod on the evening of July 24, law enforcement officers launched a large-scale special operation to detain an armed man suspected of shooting in the area of the Shakhtynskyi forest. This was reported by the National Police, according to UNN.
Today at about 18:30 on Oleg Kutsyn Street, several children approached the police. They reported hearing gunshots from the Shakhtynskyi forest area and seeing a suspicious man. Law enforcement officers immediately arrived at the specified location. While inspecting the area, they heard gunshots again
According to preliminary information, one of the bullets may have hit an abandoned building, causing a fire that spread to the forest area. A special police operation is ongoing at the scene. Additional police forces, including KORD special unit fighters, have been involved in the search and detention of the armed man.
Law enforcement officers are taking measures to locate and detain the suspect.
