Polish law enforcement agencies have detained two individuals suspected of attacking Ukrainian citizens in Wrocław. The search for a third suspect is ongoing. This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, as reported by UNN.
We expect a full, objective, and impartial investigation, the establishment of all circumstances and motives of the crime, as well as a fair punishment for all perpetrators. I thank the Polish authorities, law enforcement agencies, and the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, for their swift, decisive, and immediate response
According to Sybiha, Ukraine will continue to closely monitor the progress of this case and provide necessary consular assistance to the affected Ukrainians.
I once again appeal to some Polish politicians to stop inciting hostility, which ultimately turns into specific acts of violence on the streets. We need dialogue and mutual respect, not a search for reasons for hatred. Ukraine and Poland are destined for pragmatic good neighborliness and joint security in the face of our eternal common enemy
Recall
