A group of unidentified individuals in two civilian vehicles attacked a Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) service vehicle in Odesa on Tuesday, May 5, which was transporting men liable for military service to undergo a military medical commission; three of them took advantage of the situation and fled. It is reported that while transporting conscripts to the Odesa mobilization center for a military medical commission, two civilian cars blocked the movement of the service vehicle. Subsequently, a group of unidentified persons damaged the car windows and sprayed an irritant gas inside the cabin of the service vehicle. "These actions created a real threat to the life and health of the escorting servicemen and the individuals inside the vehicle," the report noted.
The nature of the attackers' actions may indicate pre-planned activities carried out to facilitate the evasion of military duty for a group of conscripts, three of whom took advantage of the situation and fled the scene. Such actions can be regarded as intentional obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,
The leadership of the Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center will appeal to law enforcement agencies to identify and bring to justice all those involved in organizing and executing these illegal acts.
The TRC emphasizes: all participants in the incident will be identified, and their actions will be classified in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
