Context
In May, a user of the Threads social network spoke about a man who had been stalking her and other women for years. The man, named Viktor, called the women, wished them happy birthdays, and tried to hack their social media accounts.
"Girls, public awareness. Be careful. Take a close look at the person in the first frame and never repeat our mistakes (we are the girls suffering from this person). What's the matter? Briefly: the guy approaches to get acquainted, and God forbid you, like us, were too polite/kind/scared to give your number — the stalking begins. He will approach again and again, pretending to meet you for the first time. He will call 100 or more times (most likely, it's an automated process). When you say no, he may block your path and be very intrusive (honestly, that's exactly why I once gave him my number, for which I now simply curse myself. Back then I was still young and I was scared, uncomfortable refusing). He also works/worked as a courier for Glovo/Bolt. This is frightening because you never know who will end up on your doorstep," the woman wrote.
