Congress will vote on an aid package for Ukraine in the next few weeks - this opinion was expressed by Joni Ernst, US Senator from the Republican Party, in an interview with Radio Liberty, UNN reports .

Ernst reminded that in February she was among the senators who supported the aid package for Ukraine: "I am proud to support Ukraine, and I believe this additional aid package is extremely important.
The document is currently being considered by the House of Representatives. According to the senator, several amendments will be made to it.
Once the House passes these changes, the bill will go back to the Senate. I expect this to happen within the next few weeks, and we will work very, very hard to ensure that the aid package passes,
Commenting on the innovations to the draft law proposed by Mike Johnson, in particular, regarding the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine on credit, the senator expressed the opinion that such a proposal "could work.
Ernst also noted that the majority of the Congress supports Ukraine. At the same time, there are still those who disagree with the level of aid spending.
