Over the past three years, the SBU has struck 11 Russian warships in the Black Sea with the help of surface drones. At the front, SBU fighters have hit more than 1,700 Russian tanks. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine UNN on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the creation of the Service.
During the full-scale invasion of Russia, the SBU became an important part of the Security and Defense Forces and makes a great contribution to the defense of the country. The SBU not only destroys the enemy on the battlefield and the military potential of the Russian Federation in the deep rear, but also exposes traitors and Russian agents inside the country
The SBU reports that in general, since February 24, 2022 and as of mid-March 2025, SBU fighters have hit the front:
- more than 1,700 Russian tanks;
- more than 3,000 armored combat vehicles;
- almost 250 air defense systems;
- more than 550 electronic warfare systems and hundreds of other equipment.
Over the past three years, the SBU has conducted many unique special operations that have changed the course of the war and shocked the enemy. The key ones are two explosions of the Crimean bridge:
- in October 2022 with the help of a truck with explosives, in July 2023 - with Sea baby surface drones;
- striking 11 Russian warships in the Black Sea with the help of surface drones and maintaining control over the water area to ensure the grain corridor;
The SBU carries out regular "deep strikes" deep into the territory of the Russian Federation, which inflict very painful blows on the enemy's military-industrial complex.
- Russia is losing billions of dollars from the SBU's long-range drones, which are capable of covering a distance of 1,500 km. The SBU arranges "cotton" at military airfields, weapons depots, oil depots and factories that produce drones and KABs;
- the SBU has effective "anti-drone" units that destroy enemy UAVs of the Supercam, Orlan, Zala, Lancet types and their crews at the forefront;
SBU special forces set a record for the simultaneous capture of prisoners, when more than 100 Russian servicemen were captured in 1 assault in the Kursk region, which made it possible to replenish the exchange fund.
During the war, the SBU became a generator of new military and technological solutions. Among its developments are Sea baby and Mamai surface drones, long-range drones, sniper weapons, etc. By the way, it was from the SBU's "Horizon Master" rifle that a world record for sniper shooting range was set - 3.8 thousand meters
Vasyl Malyuk, Head of the SBU, stressed that today the list of tasks of the Security Service is very broad: from the destruction of the military potential of the Russian Federation to countering terrorism on the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages.
We firmly hold every section of the front together with our brothers from the Defense Forces, because behind us is the life and safety of citizens. SBU fighters have perfectly mastered unmanned technologies. With our drones, we hit Russian warships in the Black Sea, turn enemy tanks into scrap metal, arrange "earthquakes" in weapons depots and shoot down combat helicopters. Our priority is to destroy as many enemies as possible and liberate our land
The SBU systematically brings to justice war criminals and traitors who work for the Russian Federation. According to UNN sources in Ukrainian special services, it was the Security Service that eliminated:
- General, Head of the Radiation and Chemical Protection Troops of the Russian Federation Igor Kirillov;
- Chief of Staff of the 41st Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, who gave orders for the launch of cruise missiles Valeriy Trankovsky;
- ex-People's Deputy-traitor Ilya Kiva;
- militant and propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky.
