The government is allocating 10.8 billion hryvnias from the special fund of the state budget for the purchase and production of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko on Telegram, according to UNN.
The government is directing an additional 10.8 billion UAH toward the purchase and production of weaponry. The funds were successfully accumulated in the special fund of the state budget and redirected to defense needs
According to her, 9 billion hryvnias will go directly toward the purchase of new weapons, as well as the repair and modernization of equipment. Nearly another two billion will go toward the development of the Ukrainian defense industry: scaling production and the rapid implementation of technologies directly from the battlefield.
These funds were accumulated thanks to personal income tax, as well as licensing fees from the gambling business and lotteries
"Ukrainian military personnel and gunsmiths are together carrying out a true technological revolution, recognized by both allies and the enemy. The government is doing everything possible to support these changes and help rapidly scale new technologies," Svyrydenko added.
