Former Prosecutor General Kostin appointed as ambassador to the Netherlands

Andriy Kostin, recently dismissed from the post of Prosecutor General, has become the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Netherlands. He will also be Ukraine's representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed former Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, who was dismissed from his post in late October, as Ukraine's ambassador to the Netherlands. This is stated in the President's decrees, reports UNN.

To appoint Andriy Yevhenovych Kostin as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands 

- the decree reads.

By another decree, Zelenskyy appointed Kostin as the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on a part-time basis.

Addition

In October last year, Kostin resigned as Prosecutor General amid a scandal with the SEC.

The Verkhovna Rada approved the dismissal of Andriy Kostin from the post of Prosecutor General with 255 votes in favour.
