The International Automobile Federation has lifted all restrictions on Russian and Belarusian drivers, teams and officials. The ban on holding competitions in Russia and Belarus remains in force.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has lifted all sanctions against Russian and Belarusian drivers that were introduced after the start of the russian federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is stated in the relevant FIA circular, reports UNN.

It is noted that the sanctions have also been lifted against Russian and Belarusian national teams and officials. At the same time, drivers from the russian federation and Belarus are permitted to participate in international competitions without any restrictions.

The FIA’s extraordinary measures are to be reviewed with a view to lifting restrictions on the participation of Russian and Belarusian drivers, national teams, individual participants and officials, as well as restrictions related to displaying their national symbols, colors, flags and anthems

At the same time, the FIA added that it was maintaining the ban on holding international competitions in Russia and Belarus. The organization said it would continue to monitor developments in Ukraine. The FIA also reserved the right to take further measures, including to comply with sanctions regimes and its contractual obligations.
