Ex-head of Rivne TCC served the fourth suspicion and detained

The former head of the Rivne regional TCC was served the fourth suspicion for obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces. He was detained and will be held without bail, facing up to 12 years in prison.

The former head of the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has been served with the fourth suspicion. He has already been detained, UNN reports with reference to the State Bureau of Investigation.

"SBI employees ... served the fourth suspicion to the former head of the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

This time, he is suspected of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). In particular, it is a deliberate assistance to citizens in evading mobilization and military service under martial law," the statement said.

According to the SBI, law enforcement officers have already detained the former head of the TCC, and investigators will request a preventive measure of detention without the alternative of bail.

Recall

In July 2023, he was notified of suspicion in a case of beating a soldier. He was suspected of using violence against a subordinate and of robbery (Art. 27(2), (3), Art. 27(2), Art. 28(2), Art. 426-1(5), Art. 186(4) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In October 2023, SBI officers served him with another suspicion. During the investigation into the beating of the soldier, the SBI found that the head of the Rivne military enlistment office owned real estate and land worth more than UAH 46.6 million. The investigation into possible other episodes of his illegal activities continued.

In July 2023, he was suspended from his official duties and held in custody without the possibility of bail. The other day, after the defense appealed the decision, the Court of Appeal changed the measure of restraint for the former head of the Rivne Regional TCC. He was released from the pre-trial detention center on bail of almost half a million hryvnias.

Currently, the military officer could face up to 12 years in prison.
