On the night of May 2, fires broke out in two cities in the Russian Republic of Chuvashia - Kanash and Alatyr. As a result of the fires, an energy sales company building and an electrical substation caught fire, reports UNN with reference to Russian "media."

The first fire occurred at the high-voltage electrical substation PS 220 kV in the city of Kanash at 263 Zaliznychna St. Additionally, the office building of the energy sales company "Alatyrskoe MO CHESK" in the city of Alatyr at 55 Zhukovskogo St. was on fire.
According to local "media" and Telegram channels, residents of the city of Kanash heard explosions before the fire. At the same time, there is currently no official information regarding possible casualties.
