On May 29, the Russian army launched another attack on civilian shipping in the Black Sea, targeting three foreign merchant vessels with drones. This was reported by the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, and the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, according to UNN.

According to him, enemy UAVs attacked three foreign merchant vessels moving through the maritime corridor during the evening and night.
Kuleba stated that as a result of the strikes, fires broke out on board the vessels, which were extinguished by the crews.
On the Vanuatu-flagged vessel, two crew members sustained minor injuries and received the necessary medical assistance. The vessel itself has been towed for repairs,
He added that despite constant Russian attacks, Ukraine maintains the operation of the maritime corridor, and ports and crews continue to ensure the movement of cargo and global food security.
The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority noted that the three foreign merchant vessels were flying the flags of Vanuatu, the Comoros, and Panama, and were moving through the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
They also added that movement through the maritime corridor continues in compliance with security measures.
