The regional office of the Bureau of Economic Security in Poltava region searched the city council's premises on the fact of embezzlement of UAH 5.3 million of budget funds during the purchase of drones. It is noted that in December last year, the suspects held an auction for the purchase of quadcopters for military units, which amounted to more than UAH 38 million.
Subsequently, during the monitoring of market prices, specialists of the BES territorial office found a significant overestimation of the cost of the order. In particular, the BES analysts confirmed UAH 5.3 million in damages to the local budget," the BES added.
During searches of the defendants' residences and the city council building, detectives seized documents, computer equipment, and mobile phones, which were attached to the criminal proceedings as material evidence.
Based on the results of the investigation, two persons were served a notice of suspicion. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided
