Five Arab countries, along with Iran, Turkey and russia, issued a joint statement calling for a political solution to end military operations in Syria and ensure the protection of civilians. 

The statement was released after a meeting of foreign ministers in the Qatari capital, Doha. The document emphasizes that the Syrian crisis poses a serious threat to both regional and international security. 

The meeting participants stressed the need for diplomatic efforts to achieve stability in Syria, emphasizing that only through dialogue can long-term peace and an end to violence be achieved.
