Active preparations for the health and recreation season are underway in Odesa. This is reported by UNN with reference to a statement by the Odesa City Military Administration.
Details
It is noted that the main priority is the safety of vacationers. Therefore, before the start of the season, 8 additional mobile shelters will be installed on the coast at the expense of the city budget. They will appear on the section from "Lanzheron" beach to the 16th station of Velykyi Fontan.
The total number of suitable shelters on the coast will increase to 19 units. This year, it is planned to increase the number of open municipal beaches to 6. Currently, tenants and the relevant municipal enterprise are conducting a complex of preparatory works: setting up rescue posts, installing buoys, conducting diver inspections of the seabed, and checking air raid alert systems
It is indicated that two inclusive beaches will operate in Odesa this year. Also, by agreement with the tenants, infrastructure for people with disabilities will be installed on other beaches of the city.
Taking into account requests from businesses, a joint commission of the City Council and the Regional Military Administration has been created to check the readiness of the coast. ... The decision on the partial opening of beaches will be made only based on the results of the commission's work to ensure safe recreation for veterans, Odesa residents, and guests of the city
They clarified that after the commission's inspection and the signing of beach readiness inspection certificates for compliance with requirements, the final list of beach zones available for visiting will be published.
As a reminder
In March, ecologists in Odesa recorded an excess of fat content in the sea near the "Vidrada" and "Lanzheron" beaches. The pollution is linked to an enemy attack on the port infrastructure.
