A fire that broke out on Wednesday on two vessels in the Egyptian Mediterranean port of Damietta was caused by a drone, the Egyptian government said. CNN reports this, writes UNN.

No party has claimed responsibility for the incident, authorities added. It occurred during cargo operations at a liquefied natural gas terminal. No casualties or fatalities were reported.
Marine risk management company Marisks said on Wednesday that the damaged vessels had been moved outside the port. On Thursday, the port administration reported that operations are continuing "with full efficiency."
The port continues to provide its maritime and logistics services around the clock without interruption, meeting the needs of shipping companies and all port users
If it is confirmed that this was a deliberate attack, Marisks said it would mean a significant expansion of the regional confrontation to the energy infrastructure of the Mediterranean.
It is noted that this is the first time Egyptian infrastructure has been struck amid the expanding war.
